Ha! Actually I have no idea- was at the game so didn’t see any of the tunnel stuff. One report I read only mentioned rice and his kid in reference to him possibly leaving so a bit misleading if they missed out the fact everyone did it.

To be fair it’s pretty much clutching at straws to find reasons from today why he might be not leaving- doesn’t stop me trying though. Really sad to see him go if that was indeed the last dance.

A great result and some pleasing performances from Paqueta and Bowen. Their early goal woke us up or did Leeds retreat to defend their lead? I am guessing the former as they scored fairly early.

We probably didn’t learn too much we didn’t already know though? Leeds were perfect opposition as they had to try and take the game to us and are petty brittle defensively but we took advantage very well. The Moyes “keep the shape”, “stay narrow” and counter was well suited to their approach imo.

There are still the same questions and uncertainties about our ability to retain possession against teams with pace and who press well but against Leeds we were better in that sense.

If we’re honest we all know that we have to get better players as first choice for the / Czech lads. We need improved pace and passing across the team and at pace. Leeds didn’t really test us in imo in that sense.

Right and left back, replacement of Soucek is an absolute priority and we need more pace and athleticism in attacking positions along with players that can control instantly and pass and move with 1 and 2 touch football.

Moyes is limited and seems to be a “poor man’s Mourinho”. As the “special one” has shown it can get results but the football is hard to watch and not the most entertaining

Do we think Moyes can evolve our play and get us to retrieve and keep the ball better? I doubt it.

Let’s see how the final and last game pans out. If he oversees us winning this ECL trophy then it’s highly likely he’s retained but imo it’s just a matter of months before he gets the tin tack because I just don’t think he knows how you set up a team and how to develop / coach players to play differently with the team controlling more of the possession, pressing high etc. I think he wants to get us playing more that way but he and his coaches don’t know how to do this and secondly he does not have all the players he needs because, by definition, he didn’t know he needed them. And even if he did have them he wouldn’t play them.

Xmas 2023 the hope is that we are still in the Europa and not involved in the relegation discussion but I’m pretty certain we will be in the same position as a team or squad where we struggle to keep and get the ball, score from open play and look technically wanting with our control and passing.

Do Leeds know they are in the relegation zone?
They were truly awful. Played like it was a pre season friendly. I would be furious if I was a Leeds fan. Added to fact we played on Thursday.

It was like playground football for us in the second half. We were really taking the mick. Could have scored 6 or 7.

Well done to all the team.

Paqueta the stand out. Really enjoyable afternoon. Great party atmosphere as expected.

Nondescript. Just strolled round in a group on the middle. Not exactly a ‘goodbye’ and of course with the final still to play he wouldn’t be giving anything away. but if it’s true he had his baby as his mascot today then that’s probably quite telling. Paqueta trying to put in in for a second goal also a bit telling.

Lanzini is clearly off after the mobbing he got from everyone when he scored.

Great last home game, the only downer was it's probably the last time we'll see Dec play in claret and blue at our place. If Paqueta played like that in a Brazil shirt clips of it would go viral! We seemed to only really get going after they scored, hope we don't do that in the final but we do oseem to have hit some form at the right time, I was even happy to applaud Moyes as he walked past, must be going soft after the fantastic results of the last 4 days but I'd still like someone more tactically astute to replace him during the summer. This was quite good. Stroll in the park. Paqueta best player on the pitch, Rice very good and a rare goal was a nice touch. Fornals decent too. Actually there weren't too many shitters today at all. Coming good for that final hopefully.

Very enjoyable game. Little frustrating to see us play with freedom and a bit of style now when it’s been such a slog for so much of the season. Just proves we can indeed play that way. I hope we take a bit of that swagger to prague and get on the front foot and play a bit of brave football.

Arsenal could be one season wonder they blew their chance.
They need 3 or 4 top class players.
If I was Rice I'll go to Real. Play alongside Bellingham who now knows well. Great combination. Will win things their for sure.

A good manager would make Scamacca and Paqueta work a treat.Fornals should be playing in Central mid. Soucek was ordinary,gave the ball away, touch is slow,to pass and move.
I hope the new manager will integrate the good youngsters as well as the whole squad.
EL will be very tough especially if we get Brighton or Liverpool at some stage to say the least.
